Accidental Dismemberment Insurance
Accidental Dismemberment policy is an ideal complement to any group accident insurance you may have. Consider the following: Its accidental death, loss-of-use, dismemberment, and fracture benefits are payable over and above the benefits paid under group plans. Certain group plans do not provide a lump-sum payment in the event of accidental loss of use, dismemberment or fracture.
Ideal for:
- College and University Graduates
- Complement to Group Insurance
- Retirees
The accidental loss-of-use or dismemberment benefits can be used to cover several expenses that disability income insurance (partial income replacement) does not assume. For example, a person who becomes a paraplegic as a result of an accident could use the $50,000 or $200,000 benefit to meet the following additional expenses:
- Adaptations to a house;
- Changes or adaptations to an automobile;
- Expenses involved in career reorientation;
- Household maintenance contracts, etc.
Government plans pay benefits subject to certain conditions (for example, occupational accidents or highway accidents). This plan covers you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, worldwide.
