Unity Life history actually dates back to 1898 when the company was founded as the Insurance Department of the Subsidiary High Court of the Ancient Order of Foresters. It was renamed Unity Life of Canada in 2002, upon its amalgamation with its subsidiary, The Western Life Assurance Company.

On April 2, 2008, Unity Life was converted from a mutual life insurance company to a stock life insurance company owned by Foresters . Headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, Unity Life currently has more than 331,000 active policies and certificates, $16.6 billion of insurance in force, and $992 million in assets.

Unity Life of Canada has been assigned an Excellent rating by A.M. Best Company, an industry financial rating organization.

•  10 coverage would be $237.50 per year.
•  20 coverage would be $395.00 per year.
•  30 coverage would be $680.00 per year.
•  100 coverage would be $1,400 per year.
• Finally, it  Option Enhanced 20-Pay coverage would be $2,830.30 a year.

They also offer non-participating whole life insurance and Term 100 life insurance.
