Drug Cards

Pay-direct drug cards allows clients under Canada Insurance Plan the ability to submit direct claims at pharmacies and most dental offices.
  • Canada Insurance Plan Drug (or pay direct Drug) – this is when the employee has a card that they present at the pharmacy.  The pharmacy then only charges the employee their portion of purchase and bills the rest directly to the provider
  • Canada Insurance Plan Dental  – this is when the dental office bills the employer directly for their portion and the employee only pays their portion.  The dental office bills the rest directly to the employer. This value-added feature is available for ALL Canada Insurance Plan accounts – both new and existing. There is NO set-up or enrollment fee, only a transactional fee of $2.85 for drug claims, and $8.60 for dental claims (these costs are in addition to the regular 10% Canada Insurance Plan claims processing fee).
