5.2 quake felt in Toronto – are you insured?
Many people flooded twitter with tweets on Friday as an earthquake hit Quebec , Toronto ,last earthquake hit was three years back , many buildings were evacuated and after wave of tremors is still forecast-ed , Quakes don’t happen often in Toronto but this second quake in three years arises a question to Canada’s property and casualty insurance industry on weather they should discuss whether it makes sense to make earthquake coverage mandatory and Should all mortgage lenders make that a requirement?
“I was sitting at my desk & suddenly I felt like the desk and my chair were shaking. Then I noticed that some other objects in my room were shaking as well. This lasted for about a minute or two. I’ve experienced earthquakes before, but this was the first time I was actually aware of one.” commented sandy. Various other twitter and YouTube posts were made by people showing minor jolts covered by videos.
