Book Launch at Type Books: Amanda Jernigan’s GROUNDWORK
Biblioasis and Type Books are proud to present the launch of Amanda Jernigan’s Groundwork, a sophisticated reworking of European myth, for a Toronto audience.
“For years now,” George Murray once said, “Amanda Jernigan’s name has been traded between poets like stories of mythical beast sightings.” And while her Groundwork may not quite be as elusive as the unicorn, it was almost ten years in the making, it’s here now, and it’s fantastic. In Eric Ormsby’s words, it’s a “delight to read such superbly crafted poems which at the same time transcend their craft.”
